I am excited to announce that after 17 years of collecting, I’ve finally started a page on Facebook to share scans of the various Japanese ephemera I have in my collection. Ranging from Meiji until now, my collection includes pamphlets, odori (dance) programs, photographs, postcards, fashion books, sewing books, historical clothing books, factory fabric samples, just to name a few!
I kickstarted the page with a fun handicraft magazine (the story behind the acquisition of this magazine is interesting). The projects range from various style of kimono dolls, to yofuku and wafuku accessories, household items. Sewn, knitted, painted, dyed.
To view the pages, please visit the Japanese Ephemera Facebook page and be sure to click on “like” so you can see when new scans are added!
